Florian’s team handled all of the stories that had to be told to break through: Brochures, presentations, and websites with illustrations, and subtle animations to explain how Sherpaa creatively solves health problems and fixes the challenged health system, one sign-up at a time.
Sherpaa’s path from a scrappy web-app to a full-fledged digital health platform was uncharted. Florian and the Sherpaa team guided the development of the system from manual script faxing to automatic e-prescriptions routing to the closest location, as the company scaled. They also implemented e-insurance cards, and allowed for vetting of anesthesiologists by Sherpaa guides, to make sure specialists accepted the insurance and rule out any surprise bills.
At the same time, the product design accounted for business expansions from a employer-only model, to individual, and later, family accounts as it scaled all over the country delivering care from your own, personal doctor available almost every day.

He also designed the business portal that delivered anonymized information around benefit and insurance usage to deliver the best care, at minimum cost for the company.
It turns out that, if you can cut physical doctor visits by two thirds, and get people to see their doctor 24/7, around the clock, online, insurance companies will give your business a hefty break.
Sherpaa’s customers counted some of the top organizations in New York City and beyond, such as Casper, Betterment, Etsy, Warby Parker, Work & Co., and many more.
Sherpaa had a great run before it was acquired by Crossover Health in 2019. And while the brand was phased out, our application became the foundation for the next generation of healthcare apps, improving even more peoples’ lives.
The remains of Sherpaa now serve:
