Florian is a designer with a focus on making people more knowledgable & productive, and the world more just.
He worked in and out of product design teams, digital agencies, and even founded a design-technology studio in New York that he named after himself. This wasn't only to remedy the fact that in Germany ‘Fangohr’ is a ridiculous name, but also to celebrate that in America, it could be that of a super-villain.
Throughout his career Florian created digital products, websites, brands, and even print design for clients like Lindblad/National Geographic, Yale University, Sanofi, Frog Design, Good Magazine, Planned Parenthood, the science magazine Seed, and many others.
His extended journey took Florian from his hometown of Hamburg to San Francisco, Brooklyn, and now Seattle, where he lives with his wife and two kids, Franka and Felix, who had no choice but to literally inherit his penchant for alliterative names.
Florian co-taught web design at the School of Visual Arts in NYC and has been a 4 time juror at the SxSW interactive awards. His work received several awards that won't mean much to most people, but hopefully had a positive impact on many, anyway.
